Prenatal Yoga is a gentle yoga class for women who are pregnant. In this class we practice yoga postures & breathing practices that are beneficial & safe for pregnancy.
Yoga is a wonderful practice to embrace during pregnancy because it encourages a strong flexible body, and a deep sense of inner & outer relaxation... Preparing you physically & emotionally for birth and motherhood.
Yoga practice teaches us to breathe deeply and relax, so we can listen & feel; and connect with ourselves in a deeper way... so we can trust the innate wisdom within us that knows how to birth our babies & knows how to be a mother
Learn breathing techniques that will help you to breathe thru pain & release tension from your body; so you can stay relaxed & grounded while your in labour. Learn to soften & let go instead of tightening up when you feel pain. Your breath will help you immensly during labour & birth; Helping you to stay calm & relaxed, as well as strong & grounded when you need it most!
Practicing Yoga during pregnancy helps to alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy, so you can manage aches & pains with more comfort & ease.
Learn what you can do to encourage your baby into the optimum fetal position for birth; So birthing will move along more smoothly & quickly...
One of the beautiful benefit of taking this class is the sense of COMMUNITY that develops over the weeks.
In this supportive nurturing environment women share & connect with eachother, bonding & creating friendships that nourish them throughout their pregnancies & in many cases even after their babies are born... Many women stay connected as new mothers... going for walks together & supporting each other further on the journey.

No previous Yoga experience is necessary to enroll in this class.
